MINING  ECO-MUSEUM

ScopriMiniera (Discover Mine), takes place along the main haulage tunnel of the “Paola” mine, and a large underground ring adjacent to the now-abandoned mining sites, for a total extension of 1.5 km of tunnels and trenches. The ScopriMiniera experience begins on board the miners’ train, adding a pinch of adventure to this journey “to the centre of the earth”.

The SCOPRIALPI route takes visitors through ravines, tunnels and structures of a mine that opened over 60 years ago, and was used until 1995 to bring to light wagonloads and wagonloads of pure white talc; it has now become a way of offering everyone an experience of scientific research that is simple yet at the same time, engaging and stimulating.
